Soccer

Point Spread

It is the easiest and most popular form of soccer betting, also known as 1X2 betting. In this market, you can predict which team will win the match or if the match will end in a draw.
You have three options to choose from:
Home team wins (1)
Draw (X)
Away team wins (2)

Over/Under

Sportsbooks usually set soccer point spreads between 0.5 and 2 goals. However, depending on the rivalry between the two teams, the spread can be much higher. For example, if the USA is -0.5 and Canada is +0.5, and the final result is a 1-0 win for the USA, you will win your bet if you bet on the USA.

Correct Score

The bookmaker will set a projected goal total for a match, and you can then place a bet on whether the final total will be over or under that number.

Parlay

Bet on the final correct score of a match. You must predict the score accurately, taking into account the number of goals scored by both teams. For example, if you bet on a correct score of 2-1, the home team would have to win by 2 goals, and the away team would have to score only 1 goal for your bet to be successful. The odds are usually higher than other betting options due to the difficulty of the prediction.

Futures

To win a Parlay bet, all of the individual bets in it must be successful. This bet type offers higher potential payouts as the odds increase with each additional selection.

Props (Player Props/Team Props)

Futures betting is a long-term odds market. Bettors can place futures bets on a variety of different markets, including team results and individual honors. Common futures markets in soccer include match winners, team relegation, and which individual player will score the most goals (or the Golden Boot winner).

Asian Handicap

Focuses on specific events or individual player performances and team statistics in soccer games. For example, you can place bets on players scoring headers, providing assists, total number of shots taken, players shown yellow cards, or players sent off.

Draw No Bet

Similar to the regular point spread, but with an added handicap to eliminate the possibility of a tie. These include handicaps of 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75 goals.
Asian Handicap (-0.5, -1) – also known as -0.75: in this case, the favorite starts with handicaps of -0.5 and -1 goals, while the underdog starts with advantages of +0.5 and +1 goal. If you bet on the favorite, they must win by at least two goals for your bet to be fully successful. If the match ends with a one-goal win for the favorite, you win the -0.5 part of the bet (half your stake wins), and the other half (the -1 portion) is refunded. Alternatively, if you bet on the underdog and they win, or even lose by exactly one goal, your bet is successful.

Half Time / Full Time Betting

Exclude the possibility of a draw and bet on the winner of the match. If the final result is a draw, you will get your bet back.

First Goalscorer / Anytime Goalscorer

A bet on the result or a specific event of the first half of a match or full match, including but not limited to the following bets: correct score, total goals, handicap, corners.

Double Chance

Predicts which player will be the first to score a goal or score an anytime goal in a match.

Time to First Goal / Time to Goal

Double Chance allows you to cover two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chances of winning. Instead of choosing just one result (home win, draw, or away win), you can select two of the three possible outcomes.

Corner Kicks

Predict the time interval for the first goal or any goal.

Clean Sheet

Bet on the total number of corner kicks in a match.

Both Teams to Score

A bet on whether a team will prevent the opposing team from scoring. Simply put, this means that the opposing team will not score any goals.

Bet Wiser on Soccer

A bet on whether a team will prevent the opposing team from scoring. Simply put, it means that the opposing team will not score a single goal.

Injuries and lineups

This is probably one of the biggest factors affecting the movement of the odds. Lineups are usually announced around 60 to 90 minutes before kickoff. Be cautious of key players involved in training ground disputes, as these can also lead to last-minute changes in the lineup.

Home Field Advantage

Home games can have a big impact, so it's important to research a team’s home and away record throughout the season.

Team Status

Check the team’s results from the last 10 games or a player’s recent performances. Beyond the outcomes, it’s important to take a closer look at how they’ve played in those matches.

Head-to-Head Record

The team’s recent head-to-head record is useful, especially since the match took place last season.

Weather

High winds, rain, and even snowfall can disrupt many plays on the pitch, especially for teams that rely on long passes or aerial control.

Style of Play

Understanding each team’s tendencies is vital to successful online soccer betting. Some teams favor an attacking style, constantly pushing the ball forward. Offensive teams can overwhelm opponents and score consecutive goals, but they are also more vulnerable to counterattacks. Other teams focus more on defense than scoring, often excelling at ball control. It's also worth noting that a player's style can vary depending on whether they play for a club or a national team.

Statistics

There are plenty of publicly available stats for top leagues, including corner kicks, shots, assists, number of passes, and more. Analytics play a significant role in soccer betting.

3-Way Moneyline

Soccer American Odds are in ± (plus and minus) format. If you want to bet on Team A at -200 odds, you would need to bet $200 in order to win the initial $200 bet, plus an additional $100 in bonuses, for a total payout of $300. If you decide to bet $100 on Team B, assuming that Team B has odds of +120, and they win, you will get your original $100 bet back, plus a $120 bonus, for a total payout of $220.
